I have recently finished a temporary position and am now looking to secure a role working for a department store or a fashion/beauty store. I have always had a great passion and enthusiasm for fashion, different styles and looking fabulous and have now decided that I would love to make the transition into a career within the fashion and beauty industry. Ultimately my aim would be to secure a position as a Sales Assistant within an appropriate stores and then to progress within the business as and when appropriate. Along with my passion for fashion I also have a great enthusiasm and love for make-up and beauty, therefore I also plan to do a make-up course at The School of Make-up in Manchester within the coming months.
I have previous retail experience gained before and during my university studies. I previously worked for Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, and Principals which was within a Debenhams Department store. Within my role at Principals I acted as a floor supervisor, which entailed training new employees, opening and closing the store and cashing up the takings. Within my retail positions, I had targets which involved making a large quantity of sales and opening a certain amount of customer store accounts cards per week. I was always able to hit these targets by ensuring high levels of customer service and by being able to create a successful re-pour with the customers. Since completing my studies at University I have worked within numerous solicitors firms providing services to a variety of clients. Within these roles I have always had to work towards court imposed deadlines and hit individual and team monthly targets.
