Professional Experience
Universal Utilities (Unicom): March 2007 – September 2007
I was working in office environment as Sales Agent. My main duties were to correctly present the products and services; also to make sure clients were happy with the service they received by calling them on the phone.
ADM Tempforce Recruitment Agency: September 2007- March 2008
My main role was to bring new contracts to the business. Additionally I carried out basic office duties such as; typing letters, appointments confirmations, contacting people by e-mail and phone, faxing, photocopying, and answering the phone calls. Occasionally I was covering reception during holiday and sickness periods and assisting applicants filling application forms, translating, checking the visas and IDs and making files of there documents.
Fairfield Solicitors: March 2008 – July 2008
My primary role in this firm consisted of reception/admin duties, including; dealing with correspondence, handling telephone calls in prompt and effective manner, managing solicitors’ appointments and court diaries, opening new files, doing priority searches for conveyance matters and MID searches for PI matters. Additional responsibilities included; sending e-mails, contacting clients by phone, sending letters, faxing, photocopying, ordering stationary, updating files, and taking part in all work in the firm. Unfortunately due to changes in the market and financial constraints, the firm was forced to make redundancies.
Consumer Credit Litigation Solicitors: October 2008 – February 2010
My job role in this company was “Legal Administrator/Claims Handler” and my duties within this position were contacting the lenders and bank/building societies on behalf of our clients by post and phone. Additionally, collecting and preparing necessary documentation from lenders and clients, then processing them further for solicitors to deal with. I was managing my own case load from start to finish of preparation. Also, updating clients by phone (incoming and outgoing) on their case progress.
In preparation for flotation on the stock market (AIM), the company’s income and expenditure was unbalanced causing wage reductions and redundancies. Due to uncertainty of job security and income I left in search of a new job.
Manchester Working: May 2010 – Present
My role with in this job is to look after Council and housing Associations tenants and their properties, to make sure that any emergencies that are raised is being dealt with and any repairs and maintenance has been passed on to relevant contractors. I also have to update internal systems, including Manchester City Council systems, with any changes of circumstances or changes of personal data of the tenants. I am also responsible for answering telephone calls, dealing with queries, sending out applications for re-housing or any applications that need to be reviewed by the council or housing associations. Taking rent payments, sending referrals to environmental health officers, re-housing officers and surveyors for any inspection that needs to be carried out. General office duties are part of my responsibilities and I occasionally work ‘out-of- hours’.
