I am a Bachelor of Journalism from Belgium. During my training I have significantly developed my communication and language skills. I can speak fluent Dutch and English, very good French and basic German.
As part of my Journalism training, I have worked as a researcher at a Belgian radio station. My duties included: creative input to the show scenario, studio work, contacting potential guests, keeping up to date with current affairs, hopitality and postal duties.
During my training I was part of an editorial group, producing and broadcasting two weekly radio shows. Other duties included: interviewing guests, writing articles for the college media website, recording and editing reports for the radio shows and extensive work on the mixing desk.
I have worked as a Sales Assistant in a clothing store for two and a half years, both part time and full time. My duties included: store and display arrangement, customer service, operating the till, stock recovery and cleaning duties.
I have also worked as a cashier in a supermarket for one month.
Due to this experience in the Retail sector I have excellent customer service skills.
I am a very capable user of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Adobe package (Audition, Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver).
I achieved an overall band score of 8.0 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) in September 2010.
I have excellent organisational and time management skills, and I have a keen eye for detail.
I can cope very well in a fast paced environment.
