During my time in this position I was given a number of responsibilities which were focused on aiding the customer’s needs. My primary role was to organise stock on the shop floor alongside fellow colleagues. I was also given the responsibility of sorting out the delivery of both repeat stock and new stock. This was a task also shared between colleagues, allowing me to build on my team working skills. I took personal initiative by ensuring all stock sizes were readily available to customers and by maintaining the flow of stock on to the shop floor. Greeting customers was a role I took on during my time at the establishment; making me the first point if contact between the customers and the business. I was given the responsibility of serving customers at the tills as well as dealing with customer queries on the shop floor whereby I improved on my interpersonal skills

November 2009 – December 2009
During my time in this position, my primary role was to focus on customer service. I was trained in security awareness along with greeting customers. I was responsible for dealing with customer issues and escalations where my customer service skills were further improved. I took a proactive technique in this role by familiarising myself with the Ann Summers range via research into the company and its products; in order to ensure I gave honest and positive responses to any customer queries.

I worked on the stall during the summer months that I was not studying for my undergraduate degree. During this role I learned the basic skills of how to deal with customer’s queries and issues.
